From client to collaborator – Meet Annika, Ahooy’s new Project Manager

We’re excited to welcome Annika Kettunen to Ahooy as our new Project Manager, bringing a sharp mind, warm heart, and a wealth of real-world marketing experience to our growing team.

Annika spent the last ten years leading marketing at Mediateko, where she helped build effective communication and guided the company through rapid growth. From brand development to hands-on campaign work, she’s seen every side of marketing and understands what it takes to keep creative teams and business goals in sync.

But what makes her a perfect fit for Ahooy? She’s not just a project manager. She’s a marketing professional, a listener, and someone who’s been in the client’s seat. She knows how to turn shared goals into meaningful work and how to keep teams focused on what matters most.

“The most important lesson I’ve learned over the years is that change is constant,” says Annika. “Media is more fragmented than ever, which makes it even more essential to get the fundamentals right. That’s where the real results come from.”

After years of watching Ahooy’s work from the outside, Annika saw the open project manager role at just the right time.

“I already knew the people and had seen what the team could do,” she shares. “When the opportunity came up, I felt like I had to go for it.”

At Ahooy, she’ll be the steady hand guiding projects from start to finish while keeping things clear, moving, and focused. She’s especially passionate about building trust with clients and helping them take the long view.

“When I was on the client side, I saw how easy it was to get caught up in the tactical stuff. But the real value comes from long-term thinking and true collaboration. That’s what I’m most excited to build here.”

Outside of work, you’ll find Annika glued to the latest hockey match or surprising everyone with her unexpectedly sharp darts game. She’s even worked on the video teams for both men’s and women’s world championship ice hockey tournaments. A true bench-sport superfan!

Three words to describe her? Empathetic, humorous, and just a little impulsive. Which, if you ask us, is a pretty great combo.

Welcome, Annika 💛
